LA-CO Industries products are exported from the United States in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations. Diversion contrary to U.S. law is prohibited. For more information on the Export Adminstration Requlations please visit www.bis.doc.gov.

The SDS revision date is past three years. How can I get an updated sheet?

SDS information is automatically updated when a product is modified or an ingredient is changed.  Please contact Customer Service at (800) 621-4025 or (1) 847-956-7600 if you need an updated SDS.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Our products carry a shelf life of at least two years from the date of manufacture.  Our Thermomelt®  products are warranted for three years from the shipment date from our facility.

Where can I find the date of manufacture?

The location varies by product.  On the Paintstik®, check the flap of a dozen box.  Thermomelt® products have a date code stamped on each individual stick, as well as the dozen box.  The Valve Action® Paint Markers’ date codes are located around the color band on each marker.  For plumbing chemicals, the product codes are typically on the label, bottom of the container, or the bottom rim of each product.  Please contact Customer Service at (800) 621-4025 or (1) 847-956-7600 for additional assistance.

What is your return policy?

 

Products Purchased through LA-CO Industries, USA

LA-CO Industries PRODUCT RETURN PROCEDURE

  • Notify a LA-CO Industries customer service representative at (800) 621-4025 or (1) 847-956-7600 for a Return Goods Authorization number (RMA #). LA-CO must be notified of all potential returns no later than 5 days from receipt of shipment.

  • To insure a quick turnaround please write the RMA # on the outside of all packages.
  •  With the RMA # we will provide/designate the proper carrier to use for the return.
  • In order to expedite credits for your Authorized Return we ask that all return shipments be sent to the address below, regardless of the original shipping address.

Shipments returned without prior authorization will be refused.

REPORTING SHORTAGES & DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

  • Incomplete/Shortages for Prepaid and PPD/Add Freight Shipments
  • If your shipment arrives incomplete, please check the contents against the packing slip for any back-ordered items; next verify the number of cartons against the carton count on the bill of lading.
  • LA-CO Industries must be notified of all potential claim issues no later than 5 business days after the receipt of the shipment.
  • Customer must properly notate/sign the carrier's bill of lading for applicable shortages at time of receipt/delivery.
  • If there are any discrepancies, please contact a LA-CO Industries customer service representative at (800) 621-4025 or (1) 847-956-7600 so that we may quickly resolve any issues.
  • Claims filed after 5 business days or without properly signed paperwork are subject to refusal

Damaged Merchandise - Parcel Shipments (Prepaid and PPD/ADD Frt. shipments only).

If a Parcel shipment arrives with visible damage, refuse the shipment claiming, "Package received damaged", and call LA-CO Industries at (800) 621-4025 or (1) 847-956-7600 to request a replacement. We will initiate a claim with the carrier, and enter a new order for the merchandise.

LA-CO Industries Europe S.A.S. PRODUCT RETURN PROCEDURE

LA-CO INDUSTRIES EUROPE accepts the return of goods which do not precisely cor­respond to the buyer’s expectations. Such returns are expressly submitted to the following conditions:

-The buyer shall make an application to LA-CO INDUSTRIES EUROPE before return­ing the goods, LA-CO INDUSTRIES EUROPE shall provide return carriage instructions, returns shall obligatorily be performed carriage paid, and goods shall be insured.

-Returned goods shall be new and in their original packaging.

-Further to reception and acceptance of the returned goods by the buyer, LA-CO INDUSTRIES EUROPE shall send the latter a credit note for the invoiced amount of the said goods, excluding any possible packaging or carriage costs; this credit note shall be credited to the buyer’s account with LA-CO INDUSTRIES EUROPE.

LA-CO Industries Europe S.A.S. DELIVERY, CARRIAGE and DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

Terms

Delivery is performed either by products’ direct remittal to the buyer, or by notice of availability, or by deliver to a shipper or carrier at the seller’s premises.

Deadlines

Deliveries are made according to availabilities and order chronology. The seller is entitled to make full or partial deliveries.

Specified delivery deadlines are as exact as possible but depend on the seller’s supply possibilities and carriage.

Deliveries made after the specified deadline shall not result in the payment of damages, or a deduction, or the cancellation of ongoing orders.

However, if two (2) months subsequently to serving notice to perform to no avail, the product has not been delivered for any reason other than a force majeure event, the sale may then be terminated further to request from either party; the buyer’s deposit shall be returned, excluding any other indemnity or damages.

The following are considered as force majeure events which release the seller from the delivery obligation: war, riot, fire, strike, accident, the impossibility of pro­curing supplies.

The seller will keep the buyer informed of such aforementioned cases and events when required.

In all events, delivery within the deadline shall only take place insofar as the buyer is up to date with the latter’s obligations concerning the seller, for any reason what­soever.

Transfer of risks

Products are delivered to the agreed address with carriage costs or cash on deliv­ery; they always travel at the addressee’s risk who is responsible, if any damages or missing items are recorded, for expressing all required reserves and confirming these by extra-judicial deed or registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the carrier within three days subsequently to goods’ reception.

The customer ensures all risks connected to holding data-processing equipment and software mediums as of the delivery thereof.

LA-CO Industries Europe S.A.S. CLAIMS AND WARRANTY

Possible claims concerning quantities shall be addressed to LA-CO INDUSTRIES EU­ROPE within 4 business days as of goods’ reception at the latest.

As concerns quality, our liability is restricted to simply repairing or replacing, from our workshops, goods that we acknowledge as being defective and which have been returned, carriage paid, to our stores, within a maximum deadline of one month as of their dispatch.

Our warranty excludes the consequences of normal wear and tear, abnormal use, or lack of maintenance.
